It employs some 40,000 employees generating revenues of approximately 14 billion per year. A vacancy for a Principal Product Assurance Manager has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Portsmouth. You will be responsible for ensuring the relevant quality assurance controls of a project including hardware, software and services are in accordance with the contractual requirements and those compatible with the Airbus DS Quality Management System. The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Ensure an adequate, effective and efficient implementation of PA activities is achieved through successful integration with all management and engineering activities. Generate and implement a project Product Assurance Safety Plan Assure the qualification and verification programme is defined and completed Ensuring that all the subcontractor PA requirements, based on the knowledge of the products and the Customers requirements, are defined and implemented Identifying and coordinating resources and trained personnel assigned to the various supplier PA activities Convening regular progress meetings with PA disciplines and reporting Coordinate and provide PA inputs for project design reviews, PDR, CDR, etc. Ensure that all Parts, Materials and Processes are approved for flight PADs, RFAs, PCBs, PMPCB, ERCBs Undertake Inspections and audits as required MIPs, KIPs, etc. Control the management of nonconformances and associated tools Convene and chair Nonconformance Review Boards attend Configuration Control Boards, Test Reviews, as applicable Participate and support in risk assessment and mitigation plans Manage the process for requests for waiverdeviation from suppliers to customer Review and action the alert and warning notes systematically, ensuring their flow down and implementation by subcontractors and maintaining records Manage the project audit schedule and associated audit reportsactions, including inspections including supplier audits Ensure the Equipment Qualification Status List is maintained for all equipments Ensure compliance to product liability legislation Review and approve the Certificate of Conformity CofC. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Mandatory skills Degree or HNDHNC or specialist knowledge in relevant disciplines. Proven experience in Space environment as a PA Engineer or other relevant experience. PAQuality Assurance experience on complexextensive electronics based systems EN9100ISO 9001 auditing experience, supplier evaluation and monitoring Good team worker with strong interpersonal and persuasive skills. Expert user and promoter of quality tools and methods, particularly risk management. One of our Space Clients in Germany is looking for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer. This is a Consultancy Support position. The role would ideally suit a contractor looking for a long term consultancy role within the space industry. The submission deadline for applicants is September 21st 2015. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Compile, via dedicated workshops, the current information about TSS SW development and maintenance activities. Generate a proposed SW Quality Model based on SQUALE or equivalent. The model shall allow tailoring for the different SW applications based on their SW quality characteristics. Based on the derived SW quality model design, install, configure and maintain a system based on SonarQube or equivalent for extracting quality metrics and indicators, and generate reports about the SW Quality. The system shall include all necessary plugins and tools to support the SW quality analysis of the main languages used in TSS SW developmentsapplications i.e. CC, Java FORTRAN. A virtual machine will be provided for hosting the system. Define a general testing strategy for the system being able to extract testing quality metrics from the TSS SW developments and applications. Evaluate and propose a tool or a set of tools for checking SW with a special focus on licensing issues e.g. contamination due to use of GPL licenses, preferable to be integrated within the system described in task 2. Support in the definition of possible manual metrics, not directly derived from source code, to better characterise the analysed code and to be included in the system. Skills and Experience System Engineering and SW Development disciplines. SW Quality and SQALE model or similar model. SonarQube and its different plugins or similar tool. Static code analysis for different languages. Versioning systems, especially SVN and GIT. Automated Testing, Continuous Integration, Deployment and Delivery. Documentation of SW applications. MS Office tools for documentation purposes e.g. MS Word. Good computing skills. Familiarity with other SW Quality metrication tools and plugins will be an advantage. Qualifications University degree in a relevant discipline. Good English skills are essential.
