Summary of the role The Ground Segment System Engineer GSE shall support the Sentinel3 Operations with respect to EUMETSATs S3 Ground Segment maintenance and necessary evolutions, including the necessary coordination with the other S3 Ground Segments centres and Core Ground Stations at architectural and system engineering level and also for the related functions and interfaces with the EUMETSAT MultiMission Elements MMEs. In addition, the Ground Segment Engineer shall provide support to the AIV activities during the integration of the S3 ground Segment and shall coordinate the verification of the new systems and their interfaces into the EUMETSATs Sentinel3 ground segment.. Key Responsibilities Preparing and providing support to the day to day operation and maintenance of the S3 Ground Segment. Analysis and ground segment level testing of the facilities. Handling of the anomalies raised during the operation of the system Design of upgrades and configuration of changes for these facilities at overall ground segment level. The Key Persons will be the focal point when it comes to integrating the individual Facilities into a ground segment system, covering all aspects of system integration and testing, including the EUMETSAT MultiMission Elements. Tasks under the responsibility of the Ground Segment System Engineer will also consist of the maintenance of an uptodate set of Design and Interface Control Documents for the operational systems, performing technical analysis of system architecture and specification for evolutions or major upgrades of the S3 Ground Segment.
