We are currently looking for an Application Data System Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Application Data System Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will be involved with the specification, implementation, testing and acceptance of ground systems for different ESA ProgrammesProjects and have the following responsibilities Specification of the requirements of systems in collaboration with all stakeholders Specification of their internal and external interfaces Support to System Reviews Acceptance of the deliverables received from industry, ensuring correctness, completeness and compliance to the applicable requirements Support to the end users as required in the various ProjectProgramme phases Coordination with internal or external units, e.g. with the units supplying mission data systems infrastructure and with the units supplying the necessary hardware, networks and related services Participation in research and development activities in the area of ground systems engineering. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in Engineering or equivalent Experience in the domain of Ground Systems validation and acceptance Knowledge of ICT infrastructure associated to Data Centres Familiarity with the ECSSE40C and Q80C processes would be an asset Familiarity with relevant operating systems, including LINUX Knowledge of JAVA, C and XML Knowledge of Agile Software Development based on Scrum Methodology Fluency in English is mandatory.
