For our activities in EUMETSAT, we are currently seeking a spacecraftground controller to support the 247 spacecraft and ground segment service and system operations during the operations preparation phase of the Sentinel3 mission. It is expected that the Sentinel3 team will initially support the development of the EUMETSAT operations preparations activities for EUMETSAT to be able to take over the routine operations. Tasks Operate on a 247 shift basis all or part of the mission control system, which includes parts of the ground segment as well as the space segment Assist in configuring and testing the operational system to support the operations In case of ground or space segment anomaly take corrective action as necessary, applying the contingencyemergency procedures approved for the mission to ensure spacecraft safety and the continuity of service provision to users Participate in other operationsrelated activities small system development, procedures development or maintenance etc upon request of the Team Leader. Requirements Previous experience in the role is essential. Preparation of regular performance reports as required Organisation of the activities within the Analyst Team Organisation and supervision of the Operations Controller Team Act as management interface between EUMETSAT technical representative and the Controller Team. Each analyst must be competent in each of the analyst roles, in order to carry out the duties of the onduty analyst. Rotation between the analyst positions during the routine operations phase may be used to increase the knowledge and flexibility of the Analyst Team. The analyst team may develop and install suitable offline tools to support the efficient execution of the operational tasks. The analyst team will be required to analyse the system operations and to prepare, test and validate procedures and guidelines. The analyst team will take part, as required, in the S3 system validation activities and simulations, and arrange for the participation of the controllers. The analyst team will conduct regular operational proficiency training and simulations with the controllers. Specific Requirements Education Master degree in engineering Aerospace preferred with strong IT and specifically database background. Experience Operations experience is strongly appreciated. Candidate should have previous exposure to satellite operations or to satellite products facilities operations. Ideally to both.

A Spanish leader company in Aerospace Engineering and Scientific services with more than 45 years of experience working for NASA and 35 years working for ESA seeks a candidate for a postion of GMES Sentinel3 Liaison AIT Engineer located at ESTEC Netherlands. The Sentinel3 satellite will complete the integration of the platform and the instruments and will undergo the environmental test campaign in Cannes France. In order to get timely delivery of a fully verified and compliant system, ESA intends to work in close relation with the industrial Prime Contractor to efficiently followup the AIT process. As of April 1st 2013, ESA is looking for a Liaison AIT Engineer for a period of two years covering the completion of the A and B satellites AIT. Extension of the period could be considered at a later stage, depending on programme schedule.
