Course is designed to present conformity assessment concepts defined in ISO/IEC 17065, Conformity assessment - Requirements for bodies certifying products, processes and services. It will highlight standard’s requirements and benefits, and provide insight into why the standard has become the international benchmark for product certification.

ANSI Seeks Experts for Industry 4.0/Smart Manufacturing group.

As U.S. member to ISO, ANSI seeks relevant U.S. experts to serve on ANSI Virtual Technical Advisory Group (VTAG) in relation to ISO/TMB Strategic Advisory Group (SAG) on Industry 4.0/Smart Manufacturing. ANSI also seeks relevant U.S. experts to participate directly on said SAG, supported by input from VTAG. Working via email and Webex, U.S. VTAG will follow work of SAG and help develop ANSI comments based on U.S. stakeholder input. Deadline is July 21.

ANSI invites nominations for persons to serve on its Personnel Certification Accreditation Committee (PCAC). Nominations Committee seeks national experts in personnel certification, accreditation, and policy development. Duties include creating recommended policies and procedures for ANSI PCAP, determining accreditation status of certification bodies, and providing input and advice regarding operational issues. Nominations are due by August 21, 2015 and are for 3-year terms beginning January 1.

ANSI announced 21 recipients of 2015 Leadership and Service Awards, which recognize significant contributions to national and international standardization activities as well as ongoing commitment to industry, nation, and enhancement of global voluntary consensus standards system. Honors include various medals, Next Generation Awards, and Meritorious Service Awards. Recipients will be honored during September 30 ceremony held in conjunction with World Standards Week 2015 in Washington, DC.
