Proposal submitted by ISO concerns new field of technical activity on healthcare administration. As U.S. member body to ISO, ANSI invites interested stakeholders to submit comments on said proposal by end of the business day on October 9, 2015. Proposed work program for the standardization of healthcare administration will include classification, terminology and nomenclature, management practices, and metrics that comprise business operations among healthcare entities.

Cybersecurity portal launched by ANSI features public- and private-sector resources database and provides information on contributions of ANSI, members of ANSI Federation, and standardization community concerning cybersecurity issues. To foster access to ANSI's work in support of cybersecurity, portal features publications and lists resources related to government and private-sector cybersecurity initiatives, ANSI standards packages on IT security, and ANSI conformity assessment activities.

International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) announced that Dain Hansen has been appointed senior vice president of government relations and Shirley Dewi has been promoted as senior vice president of IAPMO's R&T management system registration services. At IAPMO Institute of Building Technology (IBT), Sanjay "Jay" Mishra has been appointed vice president of building product testing. ASME Foundation announced Noha El-Ghobashy as its new executive director.
