ANSI x3.28 to Modbus RTU Converter has three operating modes.

Used for controlling RS-232 and RS-485 Modbus RTU devices, Model 2399 simplifies replacement of obsolete ANSI controllers with Modbus RTU-compatible controllers. Firmware handles Watlow XonXoff and ANSI X3.28 protocol, and end-user configures unit with ANSI commands used in system and equivalent registers in Modbus controller. Inserted in serial path between system computer and replacement Modbus controller, multimodal system runs without any changes to system software.

ANSI invites all interested stakeholders to submit comments on International Organization for Standardization's (ISO) proposal for new field of activity on solid recovered fuels (SRFs). Comments due by end of business day on August 31, 2015. Work item proposal, submitted by Finnish Standards Association SFS, specifies that intended program of work for standardization of solid recovered fuels would include basic standards, testing and analysis standards, and technical specifications.
