Moreover, we actively manage your professional development, training and career progression. For the location in Darmstadt, Germany we are looking for a Spacecraft Analyst fm at ESOC. Tasks The Spacecraft Analyst is responsible for the support of the Integral mission as a member of the Flight Control Teams FCT during extended mission phase nominal and contingency operations. This includes Maintenance of spacecraft operational data bases, related tools, procedures and documentation under strict configuration control Implementation and maintenance of tools needed to manipulate the databases as required e.g. MSEXCEL, MSACCESS, Visual Basics Organisation, training and operational readiness check of the spacecraft controllers assigned to the mission, in cooperation with the XMM Analyst Collection of information data regarding the performance of the mission and provision of inputs for mission reports Provision of spacecraft control support in case of special operations where the SPACONs complement assigned to the mission is not in a position to cover the needs this task is expected to be necessary for only very limited periods of time Routine Mission plan generation coordination and checking Generation of the monthly report based on inputs received from other FCT members Telemetry Data Consolidation and archiving Backup analyst support to XMM Support to the preparation and execution of ground segment test activities at subsystem and system level, as required Apply configuration control procedures for documentation in use for all operational tasks and duties under his supervision Essential requirements University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, such as aerospace engineering or computer sciencesoftware engineering basic knowledgeunderstanding of ESOC Ground Segment Operations and ESOC Ground Segment Components good experience with office automation tools, including MSEXCEL and MSACCESS use of functions, queries, macros, reports, input forms, etc. some programming experience, possibly with Visual Basic andor SQL basic knowledge of ORACLE Desirable skills Knowledge of spacecraft control systems such as SCOS 2000 will be considered an asset. VN1408 In this role, you will play a leading part in all activities related to inorbit operations support for the EUMETSAT Metop satellites and preparatory activities for additional MetopC and future MetopSecond Generation satellites, along with other Low Earth Orbit LEO missions. This will involve coordinating a team of Spacecraft Operations Engineers focused on improving the reliability and robustness of satellites and related ground systems, with particular emphasis on enhancing processes and tools. Notably, you will be working with our satellite simulator and onboard software maintenance tools, whilst initiating operations rehearsals and improving training. Qualified to degree level in an engineering discipline, you will bring sound professional experience of LEO satellite operations, preferably gained via a leading position in the development or operation of an Earth Observation space system. This will have given you proven ability to understand and synthesise complex issues, coupled with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. Finally, you should be fluent in English and have some knowledge of French.
