Client and Location For one of our main customers ESAESTEC, we are currently looking for a Project Controller, who will give support within the European Satellites Navigation Systems directorate DNAV. The incumbent will report to the Galileo Ground Management Team. Tasks and Responsibilities v Project data collection and analysis of data to support regular Directorate level internal and external reporting of cost at completion of projects, evolution and projection of geographical return situation and of the financial situation of the Science and Robotic Exploration Directorate v Analysis of the impact of additional financial requirements on the yearly budget and multiyear forecast v Analysis and consolidation of costs forecast reports from projects v Preparation and analysis of yearly budget and administration of commitment ceilingfunds transfer requests v Performing financial analysis, identification of potential problem areas proposing remedial actions, and preparing reports as required v Collecting and consolidating budget and workforce data from all science projects and activities with regard to the Directorate of Technical and Quality Management, the Directorate of Operations and Infrastructure, the Directorate of Resources Management and Industrial Matters and other SLAs support for the preparation of the Spring and Autumn Revisions of the yearly budget and the medium term plan v Financial accounting and reporting of the Directorates Fixed Assets and Assets Under Construction v Reporting on the Directorate Procurement Plan v Reporting of the Cosmic Vision schedule. Experience and education v A university degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field, together with a strong background in business administration and controlling. FinanceAccounting is an advantage v A good knowledge of management and controllingrelated information systems v Fluency in both written and spoken English v Good analytical, planning and organisation skills and the ability to synthesise complex information. Excellent interpersonal skills including both assertiveness and proactiveness together with an ability to work in a team environment v Familiarity with modern corporate information systems, including SAP, together with a good knowledge of budgeting, financial processes and IPSAS accounting techniques would be a distinct advantage. The Challenge We are looking for a Project Controller to be located at one of our customer sites in Darmstadt, Germany. The Project Manager shall have prime responsibility for controlling the progress of the project to ensure the resource availability and allocating the same, coordinating with various departments and external agencies, and reporting. The Project Controller tasksresponsibilities will include Preparation of Work Breakdown Structures, the related Workpackages and the detailed summary schedules for the respective activities Preparation and maintenance of the project costtocompletions ensuring consistency with the Work Breakdown Structures, Planning and Project Internal budgets Implementation of planning and control procedures Identification of problem areas and proposal of remedial actions Preparation of manpower reports, costs and schedules Updating of Documentation Management System. Your Qualifications Applicants shall have an University degree, preferably Engineering or Commercial discipline or other suitable qualification together with some professional experience Business Management, preferably in the aerospace industry. Essential skills are Experience in the use of computers as a management tool MS Office and PC based Databases Good user knowledge of SAP and the ESA financial and procurement processes Good organizational and communicative skills Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships Good understanding of organizational, financial accounting, controlling and business development Fluency in English, both in speech and writing is mandatory. Desirable skills are Working level knowledge speaking and writing of French and or German is an asset Professional Experience in Controlling and Business Management Familiarity with the ESOC environment.
