Senior Manager, NOC Operations

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The position is responsible for leading the NOC Operations team. The incumbent works collaboratively with operational, infrastructure and customer facing functions to help ensure the stable operation, reliability, and security of our customer services and infrastructure. This position is also responsible for the overall function and quality of postsales support for all SES Networks customers. The position is the most senior position in the management of the SES Networks Operational system and the incumbent is a key member of the Operational management team at SES and holds full accountability for the effective management of mPOWER NOC Operations. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Responsible for the overall performance of the NOC Operations team Responsible for Customer Satisfaction levels for all in service mPOWER customers Responsible for engagement with Operational Fulfilment team to ensure seamless deployment and Operational transition of new mPOWER customers into Operations Responsible for the management of the engagement with contracted Service partners ensuring Services are provided to the agreed SLA terms as a minimum Defines and creates optimization efforts to drive customer satisfaction on support of their services Responsible for the effective line management and leadership of the NOC Operations team Responsible for effectively communicating the status of all in service mPOWER services across the global mPOWER customer base Actively participates and contributes as part of the management team of SES Operations providing input on operational status and improvement initiatives to streamline the mPOWER services provided by SES COMPETENCIES Selfmotivated and able to deal well with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities, ability to deal effectively with pressure Demonstrates a customerfocused business led approach Excellent team player Demonstrates effective intercultural awareness Proven project management skills, ability to manage multiplepriorities Business acumen High level of integrity and work ethic SelfStarter with a high level of personal accountability Excellent presentation communication skills written oral Excellent communication skills written oral Display a strong commitment to the success of SES and inspires others to commit to the organizations goals demonstrates commitment and works hard in order to achieve goals QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree in Engineering, Satellite Communication, Computer Sciences or equivalent, coupled with professional vocational training and qualifications Minimum of 10 years experience of Operation CentreSupport Centermanagement Minimum of 10 years experience in Satellite Communications Telecommunications Knowledge of the Satellite or Telecommunications industry Excellent command of MS Office package Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio Fluency in English, any other language is considered as an asset Apply HERE

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The position is directly responsible for the Installation, Monitoring, Operation and Support of the global SES IT install base, with a strong focus on network voice. The incumbent will work in close collaboration with the IT Service Desk and all 3rd level Engineering teams. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULTS AREAS Install, operate and support the global SES IT Infrastructure Networking LAN WAN DNS Wireless Datacenter Cloud Telephony IP based Proactively monitor the SES IT Infrastructure both on prem and Cloud through enterprise monitoring tools Proactively monitor the internet, MPLS and telephony connectivity and work with the providers on incidents Support, monitor, maintain Cisco UC infrastructure Ability to perform moves, adds, and changes via Call Manager Upgrades to all supported VoIP UC systems Have a broad understanding of all technologies covered in the IT Operations group Maturity improvement and adherence ofto all IT service management processes, including but not limited to incident management, change management, request fulfilment and problem management Maintain standards and standard operating procedures Actively participate in Problem tickets Work actively with the ITSM tool Service Now Creation of Incident Reports for major incidents Work actively with the Service Desk to help create troubleshooting procedures for common issues Help create knowledge base articles for common issues and for user selfhelp portal Stay uptodate with stateoftheart IT concepts and technologies Be able to understand all stakeholders in the service delivery process Be willing to learn new technologies Oncall duties will be required 247 on a rotational basis COMPETENCIES Ability to integrate into and lead crossfunctional andor virtual project teams Strong analytical and problemsolving skills ability to frame complex problems or business issues and can elaborate and articulate alternative solutions Professional level understanding of network architectures, technologies and protocols including cloud concepts Proactive approach towards potential andor current customers Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision Good understanding of Operational Principles QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or equivalent Minimum 35 years of applicable professional experience in a large heterogeneous environment Sound proven experience with Azure Cloud Technical knowledge and good understanding of Cloud Networking Virtual Networks, Azure IPAM, BGP and User Defined Routes, Network Security Groups Azure Security Operations Network Connectivity ExpressRoute, P2S and S2S VPNs, Virtual Network Gateways, Load Balancing Sound technical understanding of the IT landscape and related technical skills Sound proven experience with CISCO technologies, Knowledge of TCPIP, VoIP and WAN networks Solid experience with IP routing switching and QoS CCNACCNP VoiceCollaboration or equivalent experience Fluency in English, any other language is considered as an asset Willingness to travel internationally NATOEU SECRET clearances are considered a strong asset.
