Vitrociset Belgium is looking for a candidate with the profile described below to deploy in ESOC in the domain of Satellite operations Engineering. TASKS You shall operate all or part of the mission system, which may incorporate parts of the ground segment as well as the space segment, as specified for each mission. The positions could cover pre and post launch activities. For prelaunch tasks, you will be required to assist in configuring and testing the operational system to support the operations. You may also be required to develop methods or tools to assist in the execution of the operations. You will be required to become familiar with the mission and the control facilities at your disposal. You will take part in simulations and prelaunch test campaigns, and in postlaunch refresher training and simulation. PROFILE A good background in a scientific or technical discipline is necessary, to the level equivalent to Senior Technician. Experience operating spacecraft or related ground systems is highly desirable. Experience with using computer systems is required, and experience in data communication andor ground station systems is an advantage. Knowledge of spacecraft control systems such as SCOS 2000 is highly desirable. The Contractor should be able to demonstrate an orderly, reliable and disciplined approach to the execution of operations and be capable of working calmly and correctly under stress. Fluency in English is mandatory as this is the working language at ESAESOC. The post holder must be able to work effectively in this language.
