Support is envisaged primarily in the context of MTG programme but you may be also assigned to similar tasks in the context of other programmes. Ground Segment data processing elements cover the complete data processing chain for all mission instruments, from processing of raw data received from the satellites to generation of Level 1 and Level 2 products via dedicated instrument data processors and their distribution to other Ground Segment elements for archiving and dissemination. This also includes the processing infrastructure required for hosting, coordinating, monitoring and controlling the Level 1 and Level 2 instrument data processors. Responsibilities You will provide engineering support to the MTG Ground Segment Data processing team in the frame of the MTG Programme. You will support activities related to Phases C and D of the MTG Programme in the area of data processing engineering.
