Job description The key person will support the Geostationary Orbit GEO Division providing support to the Mission Operations System team. The tasks of the key person will typically include Support to the maintenance of MTG Mission Operations Facility requirement specification in the area of Monitoring Control System and liaison with the operational users for the definition of the requirements baseline Follow up the MTG Monitoring and Control Subsystem MCS procurement to make sure that the delivery fits the intended purpose Support the MTG ground segment team, the Mission Operations Facility manager and the ground segment manager Interact with suppliers and partner organisations Participation to the Reviews for the Monitoring and Control Subsystem and interfacing facilities Participation test conduction and or witnessing to MTG Monitoring and Control Subsystem facilities testing and related activities on facility as well as on system level Analysis of test results and test reports on facility as well as on system level in particular with respect to their suitability for requirement verification and validation Track the MTG Monitoring and Control Subsystem test results, test reports and requirement verification status Installation of the MTG Monitoring and Control Subsystem at EUMETSAT, while fulfilling the configuration management requirements Verification of correct facility installation Monitor and, where applicable, steer the lifecycle for all related anomaly reports ARs nonconformance reports NCRs Preparation and production of routine reports as necessary Preparation of technical notes and attendance at technical meetings Analysis, review and generation of any relevant MTG documentation Maintenance i.e. mainly configuration and installation of the SCOS 2000 MCS demonstrator installed for familiarisation of the operations preparation team with the Mission Operations Facility MCS. Requirements In addition to having a University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, the key person shall have a demonstrated experience of spacecraft andor ground segment procurement. The key person shall have a goal oriented attitude with a good level of communication skills enabling working in a highly flexible integrated team. Furthermore, the key person shall have, as a prerequisite a demonstrated experience of five years in the following Mission Control Subsystem specifications development and or procurement within a space system In depth knowledge of MICONYS SCOS 2000, FARC, PARC, etc. based Monitoring and Control Subsystems The ECSS Packet Utilization PUS and CCSDS SLE Standard TM TC Database design, implementation and testing based on DABYS, mysql MariaDB SCOS 2000 based onboard software function AIV related activities test procedure generation, requirements verification and validation Anomaly reports ARs nonconformance reports NCRs handling, investigation and discussion with clients as well as the supplier Eclipse RCP RAP Java, C and C GIT Version Control software UNIX operating system usage Fluency in English.

The working language for the position is English and therefore the Engineer must be able to work effectively in this language and have knowledge of the other.
