Space Applications Services is a growing company recruiting a Software Engineer with industrial experience in embedded software, to work for its Systems and Ground Segment Department on research and development projects related to manned spacecraft for the European Space Agency, National Space Agencies and Spacecraft Integrators. Tasks and Responsibilities You will join the Avionics and Embedded System team whose activities cover the complete system and software development lifecycle for a number of projects. You will carry out project work by contributing with project teams in the development of software solutions for spacecraft onboard critical functions following engineering standards and best practices. You will develop software specifications, design documents, and performance assessments as required by the projects. You will interface with the Customers as necessary on technical topics. You will contribute to preproject activities by participating to technical proposals by bringing your specific knowledge and capabilities to the benefit of the team. You will provide specialist technical advice and support to other team members as needed. Qualifications and Experience You must have the following qualifications to apply A University degree or equivalent min 5 years in Computer Science, Software Engineering or in another relevant discipline, and at least 2 years experience in software development ideally for aerospace applications, healthcare or automotive. Proven engineering track in software development methodologies with strong experience in design and implementation. Proficiency in C, C, multithreaded applications and technical documentation authoring. Knowledgeexperience with realtime systems, 3D graphics, GUI, MatlabSimulink, or microcontrollers would be an asset. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, both written and oral.
