The Spacecraft Controller is responsible, within a small operations team, for the support and operation of Satellites during mid and longterm missions. Working in a control room environment, heshe will monitor and control satellites, execute predefined operations procedures, verify the nominal status of the systems and react to anomalies. After an intensive training period, the service involves rotating shift work in a team, 24h a day, 7 days a week. In addition the Controller will be following regular trainings and simulations outside the shift cycle. Qualifications Experience We are looking for candidates with a relevant university degree or professional ITK education. Essential Skills A strong technically oriented background and proficiency in complex computer systems concepts and usage especially on MS Windows and Linux Real time operations experience, ideally related to satelliteground stations or related networks e.g. inside a Telecom Network Operating Centre NOC Ability to work autonomously according to high level guidelines, in international teams on 247 shifts. You must be eligible to live and work in the EU, as the acquisition of a security clearance is mandatory for this position.
