Position Reference 107 You will be responsible for Project Control activities in the Earth Explorer Project Control section in support to one or several Earth Explorer missions. As such, you will be assigned to and directly support the relevant project manager and will liaise closely with related services inside and outside the Directorate. Maintenance of historical project databases and Project Plan Annexes Monitoring industrial contracts and interfacing with Industry on all financial and administrative matters to ensure their compliance with established formal requirements for management, costs, schedule, risks, industrial return, reporting including deviations from plans and trends Contributing to the preparation of contract change documents participating in ContractChange negotiations and Change ControlReview Boards Supporting the Head of the Earth Explorer Project Control Section in executing the sections duties, including participation in the definition, maintenance and improvement of the project control procedures and computerized information and controlling systems Assisting in the preparation of projects audits. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have a Masters in Engineering or equivalent or MBA or equivalent University degree from a recognised Institution of secondary studies or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, with relevant experience. You have experience in the Administration and Control of ESA projects, in the use of planning and project control tools, and in budget and accounting ESA software and databases is an asset. You have a good knowledge of Excel. You have excellent planning and organisation skills You are detail oriented and able to work effectively in a team environment. You must possess good judgment, integrity, ambassadorship and good communications skills. You are fluent in English. In the field of programme industrial return Initiation and coordination of the periodic updating of relevant Industrial Return data base to reflect the current commitments status and the industrial policy forecast for planned activities. Verification of coherence with ESA corporate Industrial Return data. Maintenance of list of specific compensation or improvement measures and followup the implementation. Verification of coherence of proposed procurement actions with the planned industrial return policy targets of the programmeproject, including the compensation measures. Support to programmeproject level risk management. Maintaining up to date the related data, performing data analysis, identifying deviations w.r.t. planstargets and production of associated reports to the responsible management and to the concerned customers when relevant. Operation of the associated management information tools and system databases. Support to the responsible entity in the definition of new and improvement of existing processes and tools and production of related documents. Support the execution of the directorates Risk Management process Requirements A Masters Degree or MBA. At least 4 years experience in projectprogramme control activities. Familiarity with SAP and good proficiency in MS Excel a must. Experience in international environments. Autonomy in the execution of tasks and ability to manage workload and identifying priorities ability to cope with pressure, meet deadlines and deliver on time Fluent in English knowledge of another Member State language is an asset.
