Junior Spacecraft Operations Engineer mf

LSE Space GmbH is looking for Master Graduates and Junior Engineers mf in the field of Aerospace Engineering or Telecommunications to join our Spacecraft Operations Team at the Galileo Control Center in Oberpfaffenhofen near MunichGermany. You shall operate all or part of the mission system, which may incorporate parts of the ground segment as well as the space segment, as specified for each mission. The positions could cover prelaunch, launch and postlaunch activities. Typical tasks will be To monitor and control all operational progress, in accordance with the scheduled operations plan, ensuring that safety criteria are respected and that all operations are conducted in accordance with the established procedures To perform specific operations relating to individual missions, as defined in the operations plans, or as instructed by the responsible SOM, SOE or Analyst Immediately inform the responsible personnel when an anomaly is detected, in accordance with the established procedures To take corrective action as necessary, applying the contingency emergency procedures approved for the mission To coordinate with the responsible personnel for any scheduling required To prepare operations reports as requested To assist in the production of printouts, graphs and plots for offline evaluation and analysis To prepare and complete all necessary forms for the daily operations routine. The service is performed in a shift rota to continuously have 24 hours manning team within a regular shift pattern. Qualifications and skills A Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering or Telecommunications Experience with using computer systems is required, and experience in data communication andor ground station systems is an advantage Strong team player The applicant should be able to demonstrate an orderly, reliable and disciplined approach to the execution of operations and be capable of working calmly and correctly under stress Commitment and willingness to work in a 247 shift environment Readiness to develop into a Spacecraft Operations Engineering position in the future Start date preferably end of April 2016beginning of May 2016 Benefits A permanent employment contract. It is 6 satellites in total 3 of type A and 3 of Type B, where the spacecraft platform is the same, but the instrument complement is different. We have an open position for the Population, consolidation and followup of MetOp Second Generation Satellite Reference Data Base deliveries similar activities for the Satellite Characterization data Base. Responsibilities The duties of this post will include Management of the satellite database process in accordance with the applicable standards and the project requirements Management of the data base update and verification process taking into account inputs from the main database users AIT teams for Payload and Satellite, Operation Teams, Central Software Team Issue the database management and verification plan Interface with the database users definition of users needs, versioning, data format, delivery contents Collect and consolidate the satellite database inputs from equipment and instrument providers and from System team input format definition, data collection, inputs versioning and configuration, users needs in terms of schedule and database contents Population of the satellite database, in accordance with the users needs and configuration management, consolidation of the satellite database contents Ensure the consistency between the flight operation manual and the SRDB data Database deployment versioning and configuration against users needs and maturity of data Database verification correctness of the database contents, consistency checks, review of data, correlation with results from the database validation Delivery of database versions to the users according to schedule requirements, including documentation and interfaces with users Postdelivery support to users during CSW validation and AIT phases Database modifications users inputs consolidation, modification verification, modification traceability and deployment versus user needs, This is a full time located in Toulouse for a period of 5 years.
