Responsibilities Ensure that the specification of each payload equipment unit is consistent with meeting the endtoend system performance and functional requirements Ensure that all payload unit, subsystem and system test procedures comply with the contractual requirements Participate in design, test readiness, material and failure review meetings at manufacturer sub and prime contractor facilities as needed Monitor flow of payload components thru build, test and integration into the next higher assembly Review and approve manufacturing and test documentation Monitor daily payload activities at spacecraft manufacturer facility, in coordination with coworkers in the field office Ensure that all payload non conformances and deviations are timely reviewed and assessed, by seeking concurrence from the line manager and from relevant experts within the Company Provide 247 on call support during payload system testing Support Launch Base Testing, Launch Day support, and Payload IOT testing. Experience Qualifications Master Degree or equivalent in ElectricalTelecommunication Engineering 12 years related work experience in RF engineering work, ideally in relation to spacecraft disciplines Understanding of payload architecture, design and manufacturing RF equipment, repeater and antenna subsystem Link budgets repeater RF performance measurement Integration and testing Quality control essentials Ability to work day to day issues with manufacturer and programme team Basic experience in spacecraft payload mission specification Basic experience in satellite payload operations Excellent communications skills both written and oral Negotiation skills, assertiveness Strong computer software skills Willingness to travel on a regular basis.
