Description Spacecraft SC engineering within the System team for the specification, design, development, integration, verification, of the individual satellites Review of SC design ensuring compatibility between the following elements o The platform itself defined as the structural, thermal and propulsion part. o The avionics. o The GNC and Metrology Systems. o Payload Elements. Main contribution to the review and iteration of the SC Specification and the lower level specifications being produced and iterated during the phase CD. Provide support for the definition of the support specifications as needed. Monitoring and assessment of the development, integration and testing of the SC and their subsystems, in collaboration with the Spacecraft System team and subsystems specialists, to ensure the compliance of the spacecraft and subsystems with the technical and performance requirements and the overall mission requirements. Identification and monitoring of technical and schedule risks in the relevant developments. Problems analysis and investigation of alternative solutions. Major role in the organization, preparation and execution of System, SC and subsystem reviews, both internally at the company and externally with the customer and the SC responsible. All applicants must have experience in activities applicable to spacecraft operations along with spacecraft subsystem knowledge, preferably for Data Handling. They will have basic knowledge of all spacecraft subsystems and detailed knowledge of the subsystems listed in the technical description. Knowledge and experience in ESA Ground Segment Operations and ESOC Ground Segment Components Mission Control System, Simulators is desirable. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential along the ability to work independently with little supervision.
