Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in Engineering or equivalent Experience in the domain of Ground Systems validation and acceptance Knowledge of ICT infrastructure associated to Data Centres Familiarity with the ECSSE40C and Q80C processes would be an asset Familiarity with relevant operating systems, including LINUX Knowledge of JAVA, C and XML Knowledge of Agile Software Development based on Scrum Methodology Fluency in English is mandatory. For our activities in ESOC, we are currently seeking an Application Data System Engineer to support the specification, implementation, testing and acceptance of ground systems for different ESA ProgrammesProjects. Tasks The key person will have the following main tasks Specification of the requirements of these systems in collaboration with all stakeholders Specification of their internal and external interfaces in agreement with the relevant parties Support to System Reviews Acceptance of the deliverables received from industry, ensuring correctness, completeness and compliance to the applicable requirements Support to the end users as required in the various ProjectProgramme phases Coordination with other HSOG internal or external units, e.g. with the units supplying mission data systems infrastructure and with the units supplying the necessary hardware, networks and related services Participation in research and development activities in the area of ground systems engineering. At the moment it is envisaged that the key person will Support the HSOGDA team in the technical execution of the relevant systems development contracts. This includes the deployment, validation and acceptance of the procured Systems. Initially support and finally act as the Ground System Manager DSM of the entrusted projects. Support the HSOGDA staff in the execution of technical projects in the domain of Ground Systems, in particular in the areas of RT activities and technical developments. It is to be noted that the above list is NOT exhaustive. The key person shall work as an integrant member of the HSOGDA team and be prepared to support the section in all activities where this is required. Qualifications and Requirements Familiarity with CCSDS MO standards would be an asset Embedded software development skills would be an asset Development, deployment and validation of software on System on Chip Familiarity with the SIMSAT and SMP2 simulation model development would be an asset OBSW development skills would be an asset Knowledge of Secure software engineering practices would be an asset Knowledge and experience in the ESOC software engineering methodology and relevant standards Knowledge of JAVA, C and XML Knowledge of ICT infrastructure associated to Data Centers Familiarity with relevant operating systems, including LINUX Demonstrated experience and familiarity with the ECSSE40C and Q80C processes would be an asset Demonstrated experience in the domain of Ground Systems validation and acceptance Knowledge of Agile Software Development based on Scrum Methodology. GNSS System Engineer

Education University degree or equivalent qualification in Aerospace or Telecommunications Engineering Professional Experience Required Strong background in satellite Radio navigation systems, ranging and positioning techniques, as well as several years working experience between three and five years in GALILEO system. Knowledge of system processing algorithm, and in particular of orbit determination and time scale generation.
