Thales Alenia Space is currently looking for an Software Development Engineer for Satellite Simulator located in Cannes France. Job Description You will be working in the department of Satellite Tests Bench and Simulations The department is in charge of providing the necessary facilities to test and simulate equipments and the satellite itself all along the satellite life designing, manufacturing, testing and flying operations.. You integrate the team in charge to provide a Dynamic Satellite Simulator in order to simulate the satellites functional chains power, avionic, thermical, payload. This simulator is the key to validate and operate the satellite during all the phases of flying, from the separation with the launcher to the flying operations. You are responsible for the development for one or more lots software and their integration and validation in the Dynamic Satellite Simulator. You interface with multidisciplinary teams working together to realize the satellite and in particular with satellite architects from the different functional chains. Within the first use phases after the delivery you assure the support of satellite qualification. Technical skills Masters degree in space engineering or computer science Knowledge in the following fields CC, Python, , MatlabScilab Knowledge in space engineering or modelisation. Responsibilities As Software System Engineer you will be assigned to the Electra Project where you will be required to monitor the design, the development, the verification and the maintenance of all the software elements of the Electra project.
