Vodafone UK unveils Voxi offer with zero-rated data for social media

(Telecompaper) Vodafone UK has announced a new dedicated youth mobile offering called Voxi, targeting customers aged 25 and under. Available from 08 September, the Voxi SIM will allow users to use selected social media and chat apps as much as they want without affecting their data allowance. It will also offer unlimited calls and texts with a selection of 30-day 4G plans.

Vodafone, Openreach discuss joint fibre network investment - report

(Telecompaper) Vodafone is in talks with BT Group company Openreach about a possible joint investment in fibre-optic networks in UK cities, reports The Telegraph. According to unnamed industry sources, they are in "early but serious" talks about building new large-scale infrastructure to replace old copper lines, with Vodafone looking to initially focus on major metropolitan areas.
