Job description The Project Management Support Consultant will provide support to the EPSSG Ground Segment Manager and team for management related aspects. The tasks of the Project Management Support Consultant will typically include but not necessarily be limited to the following Coordinate and maintain, in relation with the project control team, the Ground Segment Project Management Plan, Team Organisation Chart, Work Breakdown Structure WBS, Work Packages, Product Tree, and related documents Contribute to follow up subsystem development activities monitor deliverables to and from EUMETSATs partner agencies and industry, and support the review of deliverables Participate in team management meetings and in meetings with partner agencies, contractors, internal stakeholders, etc. as appropriate Track progress against agreed development plans and signal any likely or identified deviations from these plans, together with proposals to reduce the impact of any delays Contribute to the preparation and execution of the Project Reviews from a management standpoint Prepare presentations and synthetic status reports for internal e.g. report to senior management and external purposes Contribute to maintaining the project schedule in coordination with EPSSG team members and performing a critical path analysis of the schedule Track actions and risks, analysing and reporting critical issues to the Project Manager, and support the close out of such actions and risk mitigation activities Support the control of the baseline definition of the ground segment including evaluation of Change Requests, Change Proposals, Requests for Waiver Deviation, etc. Support on a case by case basis the other Programmes within the LEO Division in Project management support activities. One of our space clients based in Germany is seeking a Management Support Engineer to support the development of the ground segment of the EPSSG satellite system. The key person will be a member of the EPSSG Ground Segment Team in the Low Earth Orbit Division LEO and be involved in supporting the EPSSG Ground Segment development activities.
