For one of our customers we are currently recruiting an Electrical Test Engineerfor their location in Bremen, Germany. Tasks and Responsibilities Preparation of test procedures Test preparation of hardware configuration of item under test Execution of electrical tests on platform and satellite level interface tests, functional tests, performance tests, AOCS, Power, TTR, Onboard Data Handling OBDH as well as support for payload testing Documentation of tests, preparation of test reports. Experience and Education Completed professional education in electrical engineering, space technology, information technology or comparable qualification Substantial knowledge in one or more of the following areas attitude control, power subsystems, TTR or OBDH Professional experience in use of EGSE and electrical measurement tools Some years of professional experience in testing on satellite or subsystem level Welldeveloped communication skills, used to work in a team Sense of responsibility and an effective way of working Fluent in written and spoken English. You will independently complete all tasks required, in the allocated time, to demonstrate that the structure design meets its strength and stiffness requirements. You will lead major project with assistance. Limited signoff. You have complete knowledge of analysis methods and processes to lead an analysis team. The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include To identify all strength and stiffness requirements and ensure that they are valid. To perform or supervise all structural analysis necessary to ensure that all strength and stiffness requirements are met with a minimum mass design. To ensure that the design incorporates all features necessary to meet the strength and stiffness requirements. To provide a detailed definition of all structural testing required to verify that the strength and stiffness requirements are met. To monitor these tests and issue a test assessment report that demonstrates that requirements have been met and that the pretest analysis was of sufficient accuracy. Write clear and concise strength summary reports demonstrating adequate strength margins for all significant possible modes of failure. Write other associated analysis documentation. Provide design support to manufacture to ensure that strength and stiffness requirements are met for all nonconformances to design with appropriate corrective action. To present strength and stiffness analyses and test requirements and assessments at formal design reviews. To prepare and maintain work plans, schedules, work package descriptions and costs. This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or similar related discipline with working experience in the Space, Aerospace industry Strong experience in Stress Analysis, detailed stressing. Strong hand calculation experience for lightweight structures is mandatory for this role Good understanding of analysis techniques and methods for light weight structures strength and stiffness prediction Experience in Finite Element Analysis Ability to write clear and concise strength summary reports and other associated analysis documentation Able to establish and execute work plan and cost estimate, with assistance, for projects. One of our UK Space clients is looking for a GPS Senior Engineer. This is a permanent position and will involve GPS Technology including VHDL implementation, GNSS signal tracking and GNSS remote sensing. Key tasks GNSS Receiver Engineering. Designing and implementing VHDL solutions. Design and implement GNSS solutions for signal tracking and GNSS remote sensing. Input to the GNSS team roadmap. Development and production of GNSS simulator scenarios. Development, enhancement and maintenance of products. Undertake requirements capture and design activities. Test planning, test and verification of the design. Interfacing with internal and external customers. Work within and ensure application of company processes. Support to the Galileo Payload team. Support of other signal processing functions within the company. Cost, risk, schedule and performance trades. Maintain performance, schedule and budget. Experience PhD or MSc in a relevant GNSS topic. Extensive VHDL experience in digital signal processing. Proven experience in designingusing GNSS solutions. Implementation of GNSS tracking loops. Ability to deliver complex electronics products. Software experience in digital receivers would be an advantage. Real time operating systems for embedded solutions would be an advantage. DUTIES The GMES Sentinel5 instrument is an element within the Agencys Global Monitoring for Environment and Security GMESCopernicus Space Components CSC Programme. It will be embarked on MetopSG satellite A, which is being developed under ESAs Metop Second Generation programme. The postholder will report to the Sentinel5 System Engineering Manager. Duties include responsibility for all AIV activities aimed at the timely definition, development, implementation, verification and qualification of the design and timely calibration of the Sentinel5 instrument, consistent with GMES Copernicus mission requirements, system interfaces and the technicalprogrammatic constraints of MetopSG satellite development. Responsibilities will notably include ensuring a lowrisk, lowcost and timeefficient AIV programme resulting in timely delivery of a fullyverified and qualified instrument reviewing and controlling the instrument AIV plans and schedule at system subsystem level and assessing their robustness, completeness, coherence and realism to ensure timely delivery of a fullyverified, validated and qualified instrument reviewing and controlling the instrument calibration plans and schedule at systemsubsystem level, in coordination with the Instrument Performance Engineer, ensuring timely delivery of a fullycalibrated instrument providing early warning of potential problem areas and ensuring that appropriate mitigation actions are identified and implemented. Estimating, at every stage of programme execution, the risks and benefits associated with any proposed deviation from the original nominal verification plan controlling and coordinating all Assembly, Integration, Verification and qualification issues at instrument and subsystem level, ensuring that a consistent approach to AIVAIT implementation is applied throughout the industrial consortium ensuring the industrial plans for integration, testing, facilities and associated ground support equipment GSE are fully consistent with technical and programmatic needs supporting the procurement process for all GSE elements and test facilities, including the review of procurement documentation, tender evaluation and participation in industrial negotiations, as required by ESAs Code of Best Practices supporting the procurement process for all GSE and test facilities required for instrument calibration, in coordination with the Instrument Performance Engineer maintaining close coordination with the MetopSG project to ensure a coherent and acceptable approach to AIT activities ensuring timely availability of industrial longterm storage plans and implementation of specific storage requirements and constraints coordinating with the Sentinel5 Product Assurance Safety Engineer for monitoring major tests and timely processing of NCR reports as appropriate supporting the Instrument System Engineering Manager in organising and conducting Sentinel5 system instrument reviews, in coordination with the Prime Contractor and relevant stakeholders. QUALIFICATIONS Applicants for this post should have a Masters degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering field, together with extensive experience of defining and implementing AIV activities. Candidates shall have good practical and analytical skills as well as a demonstrated ability to work within a complex and highly interactive programme structure. They are expected to demonstrate good organisational skills and resourcefulness. The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these two languages is required together with a working knowledge of the other language. Knowledge of another member state language is an asset.
