The Sr. Manager, Fixed Data SMM is a senior member of a team defining and executing the portfolio and GoToMarket strategies for SES Networks satelliteenabled products and managed services targeted at the Fixed Data market segment, which includes Telco, MNO, Service Provider, and Enterprise customers. This role will be instrumental in SES mission of closing the digital divide for the globally 4B unconnected and underconnected broadband users, as well as bringing broadband and cloud connectivity to remote and underserved enterprises. The role will be highly outcome focused, with measures of success including market impact, revenue and profitability, and customer adoption of MobileCellular networking, Wholesale IPEthernet Trunking, Enterprise, Cloud, and Consumer Broadband products and services. As a part of the larger Fixed Data SMM team, the role involves the following activities Developing and maintaining the Segment Strategy including GoToMarket approach, PartnersChannels, Pricing Strategy, and EndtoEnd Solution Packaging Identifying and recommending priority markets for SES, including customer segments and solutions, geographies, and addressable markets Leading efforts internal to SES across multiple functional organizations to lobby for and secure resourcing to deliver on the strategy e.g. staff, tools, etc. Analysing and gaining deep insights into market conditions for the Fixed Data Segment as relates to satellite enabled MobileCellular networking, Wholesale IPEthernet Trunking, Enterprise, Cloud, and Consumer Broadband applications In parallel, assessing future technology evolution for the Fixed Data Segment e.g. Satellite Segment evolution, plus higher order capabilities such as Enterprise ITOT trends, Cloud Infrastructure and Services, IoT, LTE5G evolutions, etc. Diagnosing customer needs i.e., desired business outcomes and challengespain points that ultimately inform SES portfolio strategy for the Fixed Data Segment Defining, and launching impactful product and service offerings for the Fixed Data Segment with key deliverables including Business Cases, Market Requirement Descriptions, Solution Descriptions, FleetAsset Utilization Strategies, CommercialPricing Structures, PartnerChannel Requirements, and Customer Facing Collateral roadmaps, feature descriptions, value propositions. Managing the product and service offerings from cradletograve using industry convention Product LifeCycle PLC processes Introduction, Growth, Maturity, and Decline. BACKGROUND Image Navigation, Registration and Calibration INRC is a critical function for achieving targeted performances in the processing of Earth observation satellite data. This builds on in depth scientific understanding of specific design features of spacecraft and instruments e.g. pointing, geometric, radiometric and multispectral performances and of the use of external elements e.g. selected natural observation targets to improve over intrinsic performances of instruments and achieve Level 1 products of suitable geometric and radiometric quality. The Competence Area Manager Image Navigation, Registration and Calibration CAM INRC manages the team of scientists responsible for the scientific calibration, validation and quality monitoring of the level1 products from Low Earth and geostationary missions. The responsibility encompass also the support to development and maintenance of critical Level 1 product processing functions mainly for GEO missions, but also for LEO INRC functions. DUTIES Manage the Image Navigation, Registration and Calibration Competence Area INRC CA, seeking continued development of the scientific knowledge required to support the exploitation, development, and evolution of level1 processing chains for EUMETSAT and Copernicus instruments Lead the implementation and operations of nearrealtime quality monitoring tools, the definition and scientific evaluation of related algorithms and the prototyping of INRCrelated processing software for the generation of level1 products for current MSG, EPS, Sentinel3 and future MTG, EPSSG, Sentinel456 missions Assess requirements and priorities for calibration, intercalibration, and validation of level1 products and support the definition and execution of calibration and validation plans Interact with the communities of users, collect and analyse their feedback on the relevance and quality of the generated products and their requirements for improved level1 products Lead the definition and maintain the science roadmap for improving the geometric and radiometric quality of level1 products, responding to user requirements, including assessment of their value to user communities Initiate and manage internal and external contributing studies Coordinate all operations support activities for level1 products derived from the GEO imaging missions. Role description summary As a member of the O3b mPOWER Programme Team, the incumbent will be responsible for the programmatic aspects of the different test phases as well as to ensure all workstreams interdependencies are well managed to support test phases. The next generation O3b mPOWER will leverage new levels of space and ground system integration for SES o provide unique differentiation in the market and be a key driver for SESs data revenues. The integration of many new systems will require the O3b mPOWER team members to attain significant system architecture and operational detail. The Manager, Program Integration will play a key role in identifying and developing in detail all relevant use cases to support all Customer Service and Product designs, so they are appropriately supported by developed systems, processes and tools end to end. The incumbent will also ensure adequate flow down and understanding of all uses cases onto the integration and test validation plan at all phases PrimAry responsibilities Key result areas Responsible to manage the programmatic aspects of the different test phases and ensure all workstreams interdependencies are well managed to support test phases.
