For Astrium in Bremen within the area Supply Quality for the department SE DM Quality Assur Inspection BRE we are looking for a Supply Quality Engineer fm Electronic Systems and Equipment. This position will be based in Bremen and will require business trips. MPCV on which the development has started is predicted to be part of the next American manned mission to the moon. For this project, we will need an additional supply quality engineer for electronic systems and equipment. Based on the customer and company product assurance requirements for subcontractors, and in accordance with the agreed processes you will Ensure the compliance of suppliers to product assurance requirements Establish and apply a supplierproduct quality surveillance plan Check the conformity of the delivered product Handle product nonconformances The objectives are an agreed supplier product assurance plan, quality monitoring plans and the on quality delivery of products. Further tasks will include Contributing to supplier capability assessment and supplier approval when required Reviewing and approving the supplier product assurance plan, documents and standards Ensuring the appropriate implementation of product assurance requirements by the supplier and its lowertier suppliers Following up and supporting equipment development through your participation in development reviews, production checks and boards, establishing and initiating a quality surveillance plan Following up equipment production, performing and adapting the quality surveillance plan, checking the conformity of the delivered product using production controls and product acceptance Monitoring supply quality using metrics and KPIs, evaluating supplier quality performance Ensuring the correct handling of product anomalies and nonconformances Performing supplier reviews or audits Ensuring the implementation of risk mitigation actions by suppliers Contributing to supply quality improvement activities More specifically, in order to ensure MPCV success it will be necessary to focus not only on suppliers, but also to work closely with Astrium engineering and other Astrium functions We are looking for candidates with the following skills Engineering degree in electronics or similar, specialising in communicationpower electronics and some professional experience either in quality or engineering General experience with regards to the definition of requirements forassessment of flightworthiness would be a plus Knowledgeexperience in the fields of quality principles, quality standards regulations, supply quality and operations quality inspection Language skills negotiation level of English and German If you are interested in this position, please apply online via www.jobs.eads.com. Primary purpose of role Based in Los Angeles at the spacecraft manufacturer plant, you will be required to join a team responsible for the procurement of the Inmarsat 5 F4 satellite. Reporting to Massimiliano Ladovaz, Vice President, Space Infrastructure Development, the role will be responsible for supervising the contractor, to ensure the design, engineering, manufacturing and testing of the communications payload systems of the Inmarsat 5 F4 spacecraft are to the required quality standard, within specifications and delivered within the planned time frame. The responsibilities will also include operational support to the satellite operation department in London. Key responsibilities Integrate with the contractor teams, to lead and coordinate the design of payload systems. Participate and lead communications in payload systems, manufacturing, test and delivery reviews. Supervise the assembly integration and testing of the payload systems. Manage contractor for timely resolution of the communications payload systems technical, and schedule problems. Report issues and contractual conflicts affecting satisfactory problem resolution Essential knowledge and skills Electronics Engineering graduate or equivalent with proven experience in the field of communications spacecraft payload systems. Experience in production and testing of space qualified payload systems hardware. Experience in communications payload systems performance modelling. Experience in spacecraft integration and testing. Excellent writing and reporting skills. Position Overview A new contract position is available assist with system design, development, test and documentation for space based data handling equipment. This role is based at City of Industry, reporting to the Space Engineering office in Dublin. The ideal candidate is an allrounder with a mix of experience in electronic design and technical analysis. Heshe needs to be able to take responsibility for endtoend delivery of project deliverables assigned to them including design and project documentation.
