You will support the CTO by performing systems engineering analyses and oversee the development of a full spacecraft. You will be the designer of the space mission and will coordinate and lead the space segment developmentprocurement. You will work closely with the other engineers and external companies. Below is a summary of the typical tasks required for this post 1 Support system concept development, system architecture development, system and subsystem requirements development, systems analysis and trade studies, and systems modeling and simulation PDRCDR. 2 Identify requirements, participate in design activities, and lead assembly, integration, and test activities AIT. 3 Track mission and system configuration information such as mass properties, power, TTC, OBDH and performance data or writing complex specifications and interface control documents ICDIRD. 4 Produce and maintain system budgets power, volume, memory, mass etc. 5 Participate and oversee functional and environmental test campaigns by reviewing requirements, test specifications, planning, costing, risk assessment, test execution and verification control. 6 Project management, Project planning and test tracking. 7 Preparation of ESA management and technical documentation for project reviews. Requirements Mandatory Knowledge 1 Minimum of 5 years of experience with mechanical andor electrical design of small satellite systems in industry or academia title depends on seniority level. 2 Proven knowledge in spacecraft systems and subsystems design, and mission operations and be able to quickly develop subject matter expertise in a specific project. 3 M.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering or a similar qualification from a recognized institution. 4 Knowledge of ECSS standards. 5 Proficiency in spoken and written English. 6 EU citizenship or residence permit. Desirable Knowledge 1 Proven handson experience in one or more of the following AOCS electronics design, electrical power systems, thermal analysis, or integration and testing of aerospace systems. 2 Knowledge of spacecraft operations and related ground systems preferred 3 Experience with CubeSat projects. 4 Demonstrated technical lead andor project management experience. 5 Selfstarter who works with a sense of urgency. 6 Ability to adapt to change in an entrepreneurial environment. 7 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 8 Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team. 9 Orbital Mechanics. Responsibilities You will be assigned to MultiPurpose Crew Vehicle European Service Module MPCVESM Project within the Directorate of Human Spaceflight Robotic Exploration. Reporting to the Head of the MPCVESM Verification and AIT Section in ESTEC, you will be colocated at Prime Contractor Airbus DS premises in Bremen. The tasks will cover Follow up on a daily basis of the timely execution of the EM 1 assembly , integration and test activities Follow up of the timely and successful implementation of the qualification test plan at EM1 vehicle level Follow up of the timely and successful implementation of the acceptance test plan of the EM1 Equipment and subsystems reviews for what concern the AIV activities Tracking and review of all the test reports from the EM1 verification plan and the resolution of encountered anomalies Main milestones review meetings of the EM 1 Master Schedule Follow up of the EM2 assembly, integration and test activities in parallel to the EM1 campaigns Obtain from Airbus delivery managers the subcompanies AIV activity progress against the critical path for subsystemsequipment and report to the project.
