For our activities in ESOC, we are currently looking for a Spacecraft Operations Engineer for Sentinel2. Tasks and Responsibilities The key person will be primarily assigned to Sentinel2, but with the possibility of supporting other missions within the Earth Observation Missions Division. The primary area of responsibility for the key person is Mass Memory and Formatting Unit, SBand and XBand Subsystems, but the candidate may be requested to assume the responsibility and perform activities for additional subsystems or systems within the scope of general SOE activities. The key person will be responsible for MMFU, SBand and XBand Commissioning. Regarding LEOP, heshe will be assigned to a minor role with limited responsibilities, as the MMFU and XBand will not be activated. Other areas of responsibility and support specific to Sentinel2 are Validation, test and operation of the MCS Validation, test and operation of the Simulator Generation, validation and maintenance of the FOP primarily on MMFU, SBS, XBS, but also for other subsystems Support for test and operate the NDIU Support for FOS procurement, integration and tests Review of satellite documents Mission Planning. Requirements Essentials Spacecraft subsystem knowledge Ability to understand and accurately predict behaviour of complex systems Ability to work independently and with little supervision Wellorganised, able to prioritise and manage several activities in parallel Coordinate and interact with other service providers in operations and other fields Fluency in English, both in speech and writing. Desirables Experience in working in an operational environment Familiarity with Packet Utilisation Standard or other TMTC standards Familiarity with satellite control systems, in particular SCOS2000 Familiarity with operational simulators, especially the ones based on SimSat Familiarity with procedures life cycle Familiarity with Mission Planning tools Familiarity with low Earth orbit satellites Familiarity with multi satellite missions.
