A Spacecraft Operations and FDIR Failure Detection, Isolation and Recovery engineer is required to support the Operations FDIR team leader to fulfil operationsrelated activities on the ExoMars rover project for which AirbusDS is Prime Contractor. Job description For our customer, ESAESTEC, we are seeking an experienced Spacecraft AITAIV Engineer to work at Airbus Defence Space, Bremen, Germany and ESTEC in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Responsibilities You will be assigned to MultiPurpose Crew Vehicle European Service Vehicle MPCVESM Project within the Directorate of Human Spaceflight Robotic Exploration. Reporting to the Head of the MPCVESM Verification and AIT Section, you will be located in Airbus DS in Bremen after a period of initial training at ESTEC, Noordwijk. The tasks will cover Follow up on a daily basis of the timely execution of the EM 1 assembly , integration and test activities Follow up of the timely and successful implementation of the qualification test plan at EM1 vehicle level Follow up of the timely and successful implementation of the acceptance test plan of the EM1 Equipment and subsystems reviews for what concern the AIV activities Tracking and review of all the test reports from the EM1 verification plan and the resolution of encountered anomalies Main milestones review meetings of the EM 1 Master Schedule Follow up of the EM2 assembly, integration and test activities in parallel to the EM1 campaigns Obtain from Airbus delivery managers the subcompanies AIV activity progress against the critical path for subsystemsequipment and report to the project. Report activity progress the critical path of EM 1 assembly , integration and test activities This position is full time located at Airbus DS, Bremen, Germany. Relocation of the work back to ESTEC may be required as the project evolves. The requested start of work is midNovember 2016 ASAP. Qualifications Competencies The successful candidate shall have A Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent At least 4 years of relevant professional working experience, including mandatory experience in the definition and implementation AIV activities for spacecraft Excellent planning, organization, interpersonal and communications skills in order to be able to follow the industrial assembly, integration and test activities. Demonstrated ability to work within a complex programme structure and capability of working autonomously with minimal supervision. JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities Duties Tasks Pre and operational services to be provided in the area of Sentinels Spacecraft Operations Engineering, initially to be assigned to the Sentinel3 Mission, including support to the Sentinel3A backup operations where the main mission is operated by EUMETSAT and the preoperational activities of Sentinel3B to be operated in the LEOP and Commissioning phases by ESOC, and to be later transferred to EUMETSAT for routine operations Allocation to other Sentinels missions for similar pre and operational tasks may be decided at a later stage The general activities of the OE Domain are described in the Copernicus Operations Service Support SoW.
