Job Description The Engineer will primarily be assigned to a particular mission within the Earth Observation Mission family but with the possibility of supporting other missions within this family. Job Requirements The Engineer shall have the following University degree in the domain of engineering, science, or equivalent Spacecraft subsystem knowledge, with emphasis on the Payload Hands on familiarity with operational tools MCS, Simulator, DB browser, MOIS or equivalent tool Handson familiarity in SVT and flight procedures development Ability to work in an organised manner, with good reporting skills and reliable deadline meeting Coordination skills with internal Flight Control Team, and external ESRIN payload data centre, Satellite developer, simulator developer parties. Fluency in English. The following skills would be considered as an advantage Familiarity with the ESOC environment Familiarity with low Earth orbit satellites, including basic mission analysis and payload observation scheduling aspects Familiarity with the basic usage of orbit and environment analysis tools e.g. STK.

Spacecraft Operations Engineer for Aeolus Telespazio VEGA Deutschland has been supporting the European Space Industry for over 30 years, including ESA, DLR, EUMETSAT and CNES. The primary area of responsibility for this service is the Aeolus payload chain, including the preparation and validation of the FOP, commissioning plan and payload operations mission planning. The Engineer may be requested to assume the responsibility and perform activities for additional subsystems or systems within the scope of general SOE Spacecraft Operations Engineer services, including test, validation and operation of the Mission Control System, Mission Planning System and Simulator. The Engineer will be primarily assigned to a particular mission within the Earth Observation Mission family but with the possibility of supporting other missions within this family.
